Let’s Go to the Movies!

Okay, maybe the writer’s strike isn’t a valid excuse for not making progress on our own writing. Or so I have to keep telling myself. But this week, the Vagabonds salute the film and television writers who keep us entertained with a series of blogs on the visual elements of writing. So it’s movie week! Tomorrow, Ely sits us down on the casting couch to talk about using actors as the inspiration for your characters. Tuesday, Lindsey talks screenwriting, directing, and how to help your audience see what you see. We’ll also be talking about creating the perfect soundtrack for your story, using movies as research, and other ways of highlighting visual elements – all while discussing our favorite films (and actors!).
