I'm very big on trying to pare down my TBR pile. I just finished reading EB's This Rake of Mine. It wasn't as though I hadn't been through the story start to finish or that I didn't enjoy it. Rather, I skim-read it (b/c of my insanely busy schedule) and hadn't had time to do a thorough read of it. Now, I'm working my way through EB's most recent books. Then I'll move on to others I brought home with me for the break.

I'm totally loving going back through The Bachelor Chronicals and the Marlowes, though. I've been so busy with academic gunk that I forgot how much I love reading for pleasure! :D

Linds, if you have the patience to wait, lots of Balogh's best trads are scheduled to be reissued. According to her website:
A Precious Jewel will be out in November, 2009, Dark Angel & Lord Carew's Bride (my favorite) in March, 2010, The Famous Heroine & The Plumed Bonnet in October, 2010, A Promise of Spring & The Temporary Wife in February, 2011, A Christmas Bride & Christmas Beau in September, 2011, and A Counterfeit Betrothal & The Notorious Rake in January, 2012.

I nearly always read my autobuys first. Most of the time, books in a series take precedence over stand-alones because I am already engaged with the story. The difficult choices occur when I have two or more books by autobuy authors and all are part of a series. LOL! Some books just demand to be read as soon as I get them in my hands. I remember when Pleasure for Pleasure arrived (I was blessed with an ARC) that I started reading before I even got out of the car. I started at the end too. I had to know what happened to Josie and Mayne. :)
